A pre-construction termite treatment is a professional termiticide application to prepared soil before the concrete slab is poured. It creates a continuous chemical barrier beneath the foundation that prevents subterranean termites from entering the structure from the ground up. This treatment is required by Texas building code and HUD/FHA/VA lending requirements for all new construction.
